The Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid engine sports car designed by Porsche. It made its debut as a concept car at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. In September 2013, the 918 Spyder prototype equipped with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 broke the record for the best lap at the N ü rburgring circuit in 6 minutes and 57 seconds. The 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid model, equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine that drives the rear wheels, while an electric motor drives both front wheels.
