Chuanqianliu is a small evergreen tree in the family Myrtle, belonging to the genus Melastomataceae. Plant height 2-5 meters; Bark cracking; The tender branches are cylindrical in shape, with slender and drooping branches; The leaves are leathery, ranging from lanceolate to linear lanceolate, with a pointed or short apex and a narrowed base. Both sides are densely covered with black glandular dots; The spike shaped inflorescence is dense, with silk hairs on the inflorescence axis, membranous petals, nearly circular in shape, light green in color, and numerous stamens arranged densely; Capsule bowl shaped or hemispherical Flowering period from April to September; The fruiting period is from May to October.
