The European Atlantic sturgeon (scientific name: Acipenser sturio) is a fish of the sturgeon family and genus. There are 9-16 dorsal bone plates, 24-40 lateral bone plates, 8-14 ventral bone plates, 30-50 dorsal fins, and 22-23 anal fins.
