The Amazon parrot is a bird species of the Amazon parrot genus in the parrot family of the parrot order, also known as the orange winged Amazon parrot. Amazon parrots are mainly distributed in some regions of Central America, South America, and Mexico. Usually live in pairs, sometimes gathering up to hundreds of individuals. Has migratory habits. They feed on figs, nuts, flowers, seeds, and fruits, and sometimes forage in crops such as banana groves or corn fields. The Amazon parrot is the most talkative parrot among American parrots.
