Carlo de Apollo
Carlo de Apollo, created by Ant ó nio Soares Dos Reis (1847-1889), was originally produced in 1870. Currently housed in the National Museum of Soares Dos Reis in Porto. Antonio Soares dos Reis was one of the most important Portuguese sculptors of the late 19th century. His works include some very important sculptures, such as "Exiles" or "Count Ferreira", as well as a set of low reliefs and a travel and annotation album.
The Tiberius Monument at the Niejmegenwalhof Museum in the Netherlands
The Tiberius Pfeiler Monument in Nijmegen is a historical monument located in the Dutch city of Nijmegen. This monument was built in memory of Emperor Tiberius of the ancient Roman Empire. Built in the 1st century, it is one of the ruins of the Roman era. It is built of stone and sandstone, with a height of about 4.5 meters. The monument was originally part of a temple, dedicated to commemorating the achievements and reign of Emperor Tiberius. It is the largest and oldest Roman monument in the Netherlands, and can now be seen at the Warhof Museum.
The marble statue of Apollo from the Hellenistic period of ancient Rome
This marble statue is Apollo, holding a qin and quiver in his hand. He was naked except for the cloak around his waist. The right arm that was originally raised, as well as the left wrist and hand, are now missing. This statue is a work from the Hellenistic period of Rome, made in the 2nd century AD. This statue was excavated by an archaeological team led by Sir Robert Murdoch Smith and Edwin A. Borcher at the Temple of Apollo (Cyrene) in Libya. Now, this statue is housed in the British Museum in London. The height of the statue is 2.28 meters. This statue is a Roman replica of the original Greek work dating back to 200-150 BC.
