Black spruce
Black spruce (Picea Mariana Britton, Sterns&Poggenb.) is a plant of the pine family and the spruce genus. The crown of the tree ranges from conical to pointed. The bark is gray brown in color. Scales fan-shaped, widest near the tip, rigid, with irregular teeth on the edge of the tip. Round fruit spindle shaped, dull, deep purple, mature purple brown.
