covered carriage

covered carriage

It was a wooden carriage, often referred to as a "caravan" or "prairie carriage", used historically primarily for long-distance transport, especially during the westward movement of the United States. It has a simple cloth or canvas canopy as a shelter. There is a simulated firewood fire on the ground, surrounded by several white objects (which may represent stones or food, such as potatoes wrapped in tin foil). A metal tripod is supported above the fire, on which hangs a kettle or pan for cooking.

Travel Trailer

The trailer is very old, broken and rusty, with peeling paint on the surface, giving a weathered and post-apocalyptic appearance. It is a small, low-slung trailer with a roof rack, several small windows and a reddish-brown exhaust pipe extending to the top. There appears to be a portion of the side that was repaired or modified with untreated planks.
