german Z-57 destroyer
It was one of a series of large destroyers planned to be built by the German Navy during World War II. It was originally planned for ocean-going operations in support of large German warships far from the base. The Type 1942 destroyer was designed by the German Navy late in the war to use an all-diesel power system for longer endurance. Due to continued Allied bombardment and resource shortages, the Z-57 and its peers did not actually complete construction. It was canceled in 1944 and dismantled in 1946. The construction plans reflected the German Navy's ambitions for the design and construction of destroyers later in the war, though these plans ultimately failed to materialize.
German HortenHo229 fighter
It was a revolutionary flying wing jet fighter developed by Germany during World War II and designed by the Holden Brothers. Known for its unique flying wing layout and jet power system, it is considered the technical prototype of modern stealth fighters. The wingspan is 16.76 meters, the captain is 7.47 meters, the shape is extremely streamlined, and the tailess flying wing design greatly reduces air resistance. The fuselage is mainly made of wood and composite materials, and the surface is coated with resin to reduce weight and reduce radar reflection signals. Although the Ho229 failed to mass produce and entered the war, its innovative design held an important place in aviation history.
Steampunk style 'Gewehr43' rifle
Gew43, also known as G43, is a semi-automatic rifle manufactured in Germany during World War II. Designed in 1943 to replace the outdated Kar98k rifle. It is loved by soldiers for its reliability and shooting speed. Using 7.92 × 57mm Mauser rifle ammunition, it has a high range and power. Design influenced the development of various rifles after World War II. In the sci-fi genre of steampunk, it is endowed with more complex and exquisite mechanical structures, reflecting the unique retro futurism and nostalgia for the Industrial Revolution of steampunk.
Enigma Enigma Password Machine
The Enigma cipher machine was a mechanical cipher machine used by Germany during World War II. It employs complex rotation mechanisms and electrical circuits for encrypting and decrypting sensitive military communications. Composed of a set of rotating wheels, each wheel has 26 letters. By rotating the wheel and establishing electrical connections, the input letters are replaced and swapped multiple times, and finally encrypted letters are output. It is also equipped with a power strip, which can further increase the complexity of passwords. The complexity and variability of its design made it one of the most advanced encryption devices at that time. But it was eventually successfully cracked by the Allies, becoming an important milestone in the history of cryptography.
