Megalosaurus, also known as Southern Megalosaurus, is a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the middle of the Cretaceous period, belonging to the theropod suborder sharkodosauridae. It was one of the largest terrestrial carnivorous dinosaurs of its time, smaller only than Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. Large size, huge head, narrow mouth, sharp teeth, up to 20cm long, suitable for biting and hunting. The forelimbs are short, the hind limbs are stout, and they walk on two feet.
