Goldhard

Goldhard

Goldhard (960-1038) was a respected German bishop. He played an important role in the development of Hildesheim and played a key role in the imperial movement to reform and restructure the Bavarian Church. His revered place extends from Italy and Croatia all the way to Scandinavia, and the Gotthard Pass in Switzerland is one of the most important cross-border passages in the Alps, named after him.
