High sand deep mountain shovel shaped insect
Lucanus maculifemoratus (scientific name: Lucanus maculifemoratus), belonging to the family Scaridae in the order Coleoptera. The male insect has a body length of 29.9-78.6 millimeters (1.18-3.09 inches), while the female insect is 25-45.1 millimeters (0.98-1.78 inches). It is distributed in cooler forests in mountainous areas of Taiwan at an altitude of 500-1800 meters.
