Iguanoid lizard
The iguana is a relatively large reptile species in the iguana family, belonging to the genus iguana and suborder lizard. There are approximately 13 species worldwide. The most common common common iguana can reach a length of up to 1.8 meters and is distributed in a wide area from southern Mexico to Brazil. It is a arboreal animal. Some iguanas are distributed in the Western Hemisphere. The iguana usually lives in trees or caves. The iguana mainly feeds on fruits, plants, and bird eggs. Both the meat and eggs laid by iguanas can be consumed.
