The existence of the Golden Lion was first confirmed in MH2, and it is a medium-sized primate called the Toothed Beast. It is also the strongest member of the Toothed Beast species and can be called the King of Toothed Beasts. The appearance of a golden lion is similar to a combination of a gorilla and a lion, with a robust physique and face resembling that of a gorilla, a pair of hard horns, and a dense mane resembling that of a lion. Its horns are a symbol of male strength, and like its buffalo like tail, it is a controller of emotions. The golden lion often appears in extremely harsh environments such as permafrost and volcanic zones, but it never hesitates to go hunting in other areas, let alone as an important part of the golden lion's coming of age ceremony.
