In 1916, in order to improve combat effectiveness, the B é tier system underwent significant improvements and the "Modify é 1916" version was launched. The main improvements included adding a handguard and expanding the magazine capacity from 3 to 5 rounds to match the capacity of the Mauser rifle used in Germany.
