It has strong resistance to adverse environments such as red tide and sewage, and mainly feeds on organic debris and diatoms. The reproductive ability is strong, and female clams can lay up to 25 million eggs. Strong vitality and easy to cultivate artificially. In terms of consumption, the meat is delicious, rich in protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, and is known as the egg of the sea.
