Dachshunds are carnivorous mammals in the family Canidae, also known as badger hunting dogs. It is a hunting dog specifically used to capture wild animals in narrow caves. Due to its short limbs and body resembling a sausage, it is called a sausage dog. The longest lifespan can reach over 15 years, making it very suitable as a companion dog. Dachshunds were born in Germany in the mid-19th century and were sent to England. At the beginning of the 20th century, the British developed a miniature dachshund, which is about 5 kilograms smaller than the ordinary dachshund. At the 1972 Munich Olympics in Germany, it was used as the official mascot, symbolizing the athletes' resilience, agility, and the harmonious and diverse Olympic spirit.
