Clone sheep Dolly
Dolly was the world's first successfully cloned sheep. This research not only has significant implications for embryology, developmental genetics, and medicine, but also has enormous economic potential. Dolly was born on July 5, 1996 and passed away on February 14, 2003. Duoli made its first public appearance in 1997, shaking the whole world. The American magazine Science named the birth of Duoli as the first of the top ten technological advances in the world that year. Dolly's specimen is currently housed in the National Museum of Scotland.
Colorful glazed statue of Wei Tuo painted in the Ming Dynasty
This artifact is a Bodhisattva named "Weituo", a statue from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) in China. This ceramic artifact is currently housed in the National Museum of Scotland. The prototype of Weituotian is Shijiantuotian, the son of Brahmanism's Great Self in Heaven. Shijiantuo has over twenty names. In addition to Shijiantuo, common ones include Kumaraj, Kajiya, Shanfan, Nengzhou, and the Six Faced Child. The common image is a two armed young male war god, and there are also six sided images.
Ancient Egyptian Pulp Mummy Mask
This artifact is a complete pulp mask, including the mask and three chest patches. It was excavated by the Egyptian Exploration Society in Abidos. This ancient Egyptian artifact can be traced back to the Ptolemaic period between 323-30 BC. The golden color reflects the ancient Egyptians' belief that the skin of gods was made of that material. This artifact is currently located at the National Museum of Scotland.
