1958 Nikon S3 film camera
The Nikon I, M, and S all look very similar in appearance. They are heavy, with a shutter speed of only 1/500 second, and the viewfinder of the 50mm lens is very small. Despite these drawbacks, the Nikon S sold well, producing over 34000 units from 1951 to 1954. Coincidentally, many Nikon S cameras have an additional serial number called the 8-digit Nikon S.
