The rest of the back is light gray, with a black horizontal spot on each wing. The tail feathers are slate gray, with a wide black horizontal spot at the end, similar to males and females. Widely distributed, except for Antarctica, high latitude regions in the Northern Hemisphere, and extremely arid areas in deserts. Most of them inhabit forests or forests, while some inhabit open areas or near cliffs. Active during the day and returning to their nest at night, but trained pigeons can fly at night if they do not return to their habitat before evening.
