PlayStation (abbreviated as "PS") is a home game console developed and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Inc. It was first released in Japan on December 3, 1994. A lightweight model called PS one was released on July 7, 2000, and PS was discontinued on March 23, 2006. The PlayStation has a gray exterior and measures 270 x 60 x 188 millimeters in length, height, and width. The main hardware configuration includes a 32-bit RISC CPU, a 32-bit Sony GPU, a 16 bit Sony SPU, and a double speed CD-ROM drive.
