Also known as brown wolf spider or violin spider, it is a spider distributed in Europe, North Africa, and West Asia. Small in size, usually around 1 centimeter in length, with a flat body and colors ranging from light brown to dark brown, characterized by a violin shaped stripe on the back. The venom of Taranto spider contains an enzyme called sphingomyelinaseD, which can damage red blood cells and cause skin necrosis.
