It is a bird widely distributed in North America, known for its striking blue, white, black feathers and noisy calls. It is a member of the family Auchenipteridae in the order Passeriformes, belonging to the New Northern Jay and has a relatively distant relationship with other families of crows. Medium in size, with a prominent crown that rises and falls due to mood. When excited or seeking a mate, the crown will stand high, and when frightened, it will spread out on all sides. Living in various types of habitats, preferring mixed forests including oak and beech trees, which are relatively rare in denser forests.
