Mount Everest and the Himalayas
Also known as Mount Everest, it is the highest peak in the the Himalayas, with an altitude of 8850 meters, and is considered the highest point on the earth. Located on the border between China's Xizang Autonomous Region and Nepal, it has the Tibetan name "Qomolangma" and the Nepalese name "Sagamata".
