They don't have teeth, but instead have whiskers to filter food, mainly feeding on krill. Blue whales are distributed in the oceans around the world, especially in the Antarctic region where they are most abundant. It is an endangered species that is under international protection and hunting is prohibited. Blue whales have a long reproductive cycle, giving birth every 2 years.
