During the breeding season from April to May, they lay eggs in the rock crevices or soil at the water inflow points in streams. Their tadpoles can complete metamorphosis and begin terrestrial life without the need for food. During the non breeding season, they can be seen in the fallen leaves on the forest floor next to the stream.
