Tiger ear grass is distributed in provinces such as Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, and southeastern Gansu in China, as well as in North Korea and Japan; It mainly grows under forests, shrubs, meadows, and damp rock crevices at an altitude of 400-4500 meters.
