Google unmanned car Waymo
Waymo started as a self-driving car program started by Google in 2009, and then became a subsidiary of Alphabet company in December 2016. In November 2017, Waymo announced that it had begun testing self-driving cars without a safety driver in the driver's seat. In July 2018, Waymo announced that its fleet of self-driving vehicles had reached 8 million miles on public roads.
