Barrel grills are made from a discarded 55-gallon (about 200 liters) oil drum or similar barrel-like container. It is usually placed horizontally and mounted on a metal bracket. The oil drum is cut and hinged to form a covered oven with a grill net inside, which can be used for charcoal grilling or smoking food. Using the length of the bucket to provide sufficient cooking space, the lid helps to maintain heat and control temperature. Mainly used for outdoor barbecue, picnic or party activities.
