Lizard patterned pottery jar
This pottery jar features a flanged design and a central lizard shaped pattern, belonging to the Lagarto style, which also includes negative and cookie textured ceramics. Lagarto style ceramics are known for their tricolor painted decorations, with black and red on a white or beige background. This style includes a variety of ceramic items such as whistles, pots, jars, as well as sculptures in humanoid and animal forms, showcasing the aesthetic and cultural characteristics of the society at that time.
African clay jar
It is a clay jar from early 20th century West Africa collected by the Cleveland Museum of Art. This pottery jar is made of red clay material, with a diameter of 35.7 centimeters (14 1/16 inches) and an overall height of 36.9 centimeters (14 1/2 inches). It showcases the artistic characteristics of the Nupe style, crafted by unknown potters. This work is not only a practical item, but also embodies the aesthetics and techniques of traditional African pottery. The Cleveland Museum of Art purchased this item through the John L. Severance Fund, with the serial number 1995.210.

This porcelain is a Korean artifact from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Its name is "dragon pattern blue and white porcelain jar". The decoration of this jar is very fine, including the underglaze blue dragon design. This jar was probably used as a vase in an official courtyard ceremony. It has an overall height of 39.5cm and a bottom diameter of 14.7cm. This jar was made in the 1700 s and is now in the collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
