Renault Fuego Automotive
It is a French mid size two door coupe launched in 1980, and its name means "fire" in Spanish. Fuego is quite unique in Renault's naming system as it uses names instead of numbers for naming. The design is based on the R18 sedan from 1978 and adopts a similar chassis and power system, including longitudinally mounted engine and gearbox, double wishbone front suspension, and rigid beam rear suspension. It entered the US market in 1982 and underwent a facelift in 1983, adding a turbocharged diesel version. Due to changes in market demand and financial issues of manufacturers, production was ultimately halted in 1985
