This instrument resembles a violin and is called "Gadulka" or "Chidulka" (Bulgarian: Гъдулка, meaning "chattering box") by the Bulgarian Roma. It was brought back to Tarnuff by the ethnologists Adam Bartoshi and Pavel Lechovsky during one of their Bulgarian expeditions. This Gadulka ("box of chatter") was presented by an Usaari (the Roma who trained the bears) named George Stein, who used this instrument to make the bears he trained dance.
