The sparsely populated swamps, impoverished villages, and impolite country bumpkins are probably the only impressions people have of this place. And now Wilen is suffering from war, with swamps and marshes becoming feeding grounds for various corpse eating demons and other carrion eating creatures. So naturally, apart from the demon hunters looking for jobs, no one else will approach.

Many farms were established in the lowlands of Arach, and human influence quickly spread further east and south. The establishment of the Rapids Fortress provided sufficient security for humanity: its geographical location allowed people to easily connect with dwarves in the south and higher elves in the north, establish trade that could promote social prosperity, and only occasionally encounter obstruction from trolls east of Sintland.
