Walnut, also known as walnut (Juglans regia L.), is a deciduous tree plant in the genus Juglaceae. Walnuts are native to the Eurasian region between the Balkans and southwestern China. They are distributed in North China, Northwest China and South China. They are generally born on hillsides and hills at an altitude of 400-1800 meters. They are commonly cultivated in plains and hills in China. They like fertile and moist sandy loam. They are common in places with deep soil layers on both sides of mountain valleys. Walnut kernels have high oil content and can be eaten raw or pressed with oil; the wood is solid and is also a good hardwood material.
