The Roman fountain of Hersonisos is located on the Greek island of Crete in the shape of a pyramid. It is covered in mosaics depicting the motifs of the sea: fishermen, boats, sea snakes, squid, ducks and fish. The fountain was built in the 4th century, when Hersonius (Hersonissos) was an important Roman port.
