It is a portable game console sold by Nintendo from 1980 to 1991. It was designed by Yokai Junping and is the prototype of modern handheld game equipment. Combining the functions of a video game and a digital quartz watch, the name came from it. Using a monochrome LCD screen, each host built a specific game. Also equipped with clock and alarm functions. A total of 59 games in the series were released worldwide, plus limited editions and not for sale, for a total of 61 titles. Its success inspired Nintendo's subsequent launch of handhelds such as GameBoy.
