Zunde Ninomiya was a 19th century Japanese agricultural leader, great economist and moralist. His life was inspiring and was used as a model or moral guide in pre-World War II Japan. He was born on a farm where his parents died when he was a teenager in the aftermath of the flood of 1791. He worked hard on his uncle's farm and studied at night in his free time.
